We are in London, on the south bank. The food is the colour, the canvas is the city, and the figures are the people that come to life with every step. The energies concentrate around Waterloo Station, a short walk from the river Thames, trampled and crossed every year by around 91 million people.
Just five minutes walk away, in Lower Marsh, Ali Zaidi has found the ideal theatre to exhibit his MultiWalk.
"I do not care so much about the production of works", Zaidi explains, "but the creation of social action - the art of creating new interactions that create a reason, an excuse, for people to talk about their lives and share recipes."
MultiWalks translates this thought in three dimensions: the neighbourhood where the tour develops, the mobile digital space where one can enjoy the artistic content of the tour, and the space of global cities - all united in the very same tour.
Download the free Multiwalks app (iOS and Android) and check out the video above, which casts light on Ali's creative explorations into the places where food meets performance, participation and interculture.
